Award-winning storyteller, creative video producer, and innovative leader
For 16 years, I’ve based my career on innovative and creative storytelling. I am a seasoned communications professional who is a true jack of all trades. My experience includes: writing, storytelling, videography, and social media management.
I worked at the West Coast Conference, a non-profit organization, for 8 years. I was the primary storyteller for the WCC, taking ideas and turning them into multimedia campaigns. My job involved growing the brand and visibility of the WCC nationally by crafting and executing their communications strategy. I reviewed and edited press releases and other communications materials to their external stakeholders. I also wrote, edited, created, and filmed content and shared it across their digital and social media platforms.
I spent almost 8 years as a member of the media as an on-air television personality. I worked for three different stations across the country and won multiple awards at every stop. I also held leadership positions at all three stations. My duties typically included storytelling, writing scripts, and organizing their coverage plans on a daily basis. I constantly had to work under tight deadlines and prided myself on meeting them with ease.
My communications and writing background started during my collegiate days. I graduated from one of the most prestigious communications schools in the country -- the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, with a minor in History.
